Old Port of Montreal
Where Montréal began — cobblestone streets, river breezes and four centuries of history along the St. Lawrence.
The Old Port stretches for more than two kilometres along the waterfront, a reborn industrial harbour that is now the city’s favourite place to stroll, cycle and watch the boats drift by. Start at the Clock Tower for skyline views, then wander west past street performers and terrace cafés.
In summer the quays fill with festivals and pop-up beaches; in winter the basin freezes into a sparkling open-air skating rink. Whatever the season, this is the heart of Vieux-Montréal.
Highlights
