Mount Royal Park
The green crown of the city, with the best skyline view in Montréal from its famous lookout.
Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (the landscape architect behind New York’s Central Park), Mount Royal rises right in the middle of the city. The Kondiaronk Belvedere delivers a sweeping panorama of downtown and the river beyond.
Trails wind up through maple forest to Beaver Lake and the chalet, making it a year-round playground for hikers, picnickers and, on Sundays, the drummers of the legendary Tam-Tams.
